Meet Our Doctors

Lino Giampaolo D.V.M

Dr. Giampaolo graduated in 1969 from the 
Universitá Statale of Milan, Italy.  He did his post-graduate work in microbiology of food inspection, then did research and testing of animal vaccines at a pharmaceutical lab.  Since moving to the United States  in 1979 he joined the AVMA and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Northeast Philadelphia at this Frankford Avenue location, formerly Northeast Animal Hospital.  He lives with his wife and 3 rescued pets: a Korean Jindo dog and two domestic cats.  He likes to relax by listening to classical music, working out at the gym and cooking for family and friends.

Laura Tancredi D.V.M.

Dr. Laura Tancredi was born and raised in Elkins Park and graduated from Cheltenham High School.  She attended North Carolina State University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science and Nutrition.  She attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, and completed her clinical year at the prestigious Purdue University.  Her professional interests include diagnostic imaging, zoonotic disease and public health, and low stress handling.  

Outside of the hospital she enjoys time with her husband, daughter, and "Coconut Retriever", Ryu.  

Alison Messina D.V.M.

Dr. Alison Messina was born and raised in New York City. She attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's of Science in Wildlife Biology. She attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, on the island of St. Kitts in The West Indies, and completed her clinical year in 2009 at The University of Pennsylvania. Her professional interests include dentistry, feline medicine, and geriatric medicine. Dr. Messina shares her life with her boyfriend, three cats, two dogs, and a rabbit. She enjoys drawing and painting, running, vegan dining, and Buddhist meditation. 

Tanya Kameneva  V.M.D.

Dr Kameneva started her professional veterinary career as a certified anesthesia technician at the University of Pennsylvania's Veterinary Hospital. she went onto complete her education and received her 
Veterinary Medical .Doctorate from theUniversity of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Philadelphia PA. Following was her Emergency and Internal Medicine Internship Training - Angel Memorial, Boston MA and Surgical Specialty Internship Training - Center for Animal Referral and Emergency Services, Oxford Valley PA. She lives with a Siamese cat named Sushi and a mixed breed dog named Ace.
